THE ANCIENT PAST
Sibylla tells of the Apkallu carving Aladlammu to weigh the hearts of travelers and forging the Phoenix Glove from a feather of a bird that crossed between worlds. This ancient legacy binds the gateways, blood and the cost of power.
NINETEEN YEARS BEFORE
Emperor Malakur destroyed the House of Twilight. That night, Kieran carried the infant Leo into another world to protect him from pursuit. Saving the child began a life lived under another name.
THE HIDDEN YEARS
Leo grew up among the quays and alleys of Frostgard in the care of the Folk family. His origins remained hidden while Kieran watched from the shadows and Sibylla guarded the secret. The only life Leo knew was also a refuge from an unknown past.
THE STORY BEGINS
The blue sun fades and the veil between worlds grows thin. Sibylla gives Leo the glove and reveals the name Shadoval. With Nera’s arrival and the emperor’s soldiers drawing near, the past becomes a present danger and the journey toward Ethros begins.
